About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial reporting and accounting functions. This role is central to ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, especially in the context of digital asset operations.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing periodic financial reporting, performing reconciliations, and ensuring transparent accounting across fiat and crypto transactions. You will also collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners—including auditors, tax advisors, and regulators—to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Perform daily/month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for fiat accounts, crypto wallets, and custody movements.

  • Maintain and improve internal accounting systems and processes, ensuring they are aligned with the operational structure and scale of the business.

  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to meet statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Develop and monitor transfer pricing frameworks for intercompany transactions, ensuring alignment and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Document and develop pricing strategies for cross-border Web3 transactions.

  • Apply fair value, impairment, and classification methodologies for crypto holdings.

  • Optimize accounting systems and collaborate with tech teams to build internal dashboards for real-time financial visibility.

  • Support liquidity planning, budgeting, and forecasting with data-driven insights.

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of financial transactions, trends, and KPIs to provide data-driven insights to advise senior management on financial risks/opportunities in digital asset operations.

  • Monitor and implement updates to financial policies based on crypto tax laws, PSA 2019, and DeFi regulations.

  • Assist in auditing and managing tax reporting processes related to digital asset transactions.

  • Partner with Engineering/DevOps to securely integrate financial tools 

  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure proper account classification.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc projects to streamline and improve processes

Who Should Apply?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of accounting or financial control experience, ideally in small and medium setup, fintech, or digital asset sectors.
  • Solid understanding of digital asset accounting, valuation standards, and evolving industry norms (e.g., fair value accounting for crypto holdings).
  • Experience with transfer pricing policies and intercompany reconciliation.
  • Proficient in working with digital asset platforms, block explorers, and reconciliation tools (e.g., Etherscan, Arkham, etc.).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and basic ERP systems.
  • Self starter, detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and deliver under tight timelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in Web3, DeFi, or crypto-native companies
  • Knowledge of Singapore/US/European/offshore tax and compliance regulations relevant to digital assets
  • Experience liaising with regulators, such as MAS, IRAS, SEC, or similar bodies
